My house is almost clean, and by clean I mean all my crap has found a home for the next four years. I've managed to throw out a lot of things that I have needed to purge for quite a while. I have a little to do yet in my study and there is a whole bunch of junk that needs to be attended to in my bathroom. Oh, and I have this awful habit of leaving clothes in piles. They are clean clothes and they are folded or stacked nicely, but they still aren't in their place. I feel silly because putting away clothes is one of the easiest things to do. It is amazing me how much stuff I have. I have successfully furnished a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom house. Bedroom #1 is my bedroom. It has a new coat of paint and looks very lovely. Bedroom #2 is my guest/music room. The house isn't crammed with stuff, but I have found myself with some things thinking, "where am I going to put this, is there room?" I have an almost empty bookshelf and all the space in the downstairs kitchen. I'm glad this internet thing finally got up and running. It wasn't working so well today. As it turns out, it was a problem with the docking station for my laptop. It wasn't allowing a connection to be established. Now that my dad figured out what the problem was, everything is running smoothly. (knock on wood) The school is mostly online. They have a great system and it is absolutely necessary for me to have internet access at home since I am so far away from campus.
There were a lot of social things this week. I didn't go to one of them. I had the feeling that these functions were more along the lines of a rush week than anything. One disadvantage to living where I do is that I get home and I really don't want to leave again. I have (hopefully) made my study void of distractions. I have the computer but that's it. I don't have things with which to play with or a TV. It is a place to study. I may set up a CD player, but probably not.
Encouraging thoughts and quotes are welcomed. Please don't be upset if I post few things here. It's not that I don't care about all y'all, it's that I have to study. I'll be checking in more than I'll be posting.
Good night. Sleep well. Sweet dreams.
