Just after noon on day two:

The preservatives do make you hungry. It's pretty hard to eat, though, when your hands smell like preservative. It reminds you of where you've been. I ate grapes off of the vine yesterday with a fork. I held the vine with the fork.
I had two hours of lecture today and two hours of lab. Judd, the one in my group who has taught anatomy, likes to come in later and do work. It's nice but it's a little annoying too. There is something good about finding the things for yourself. However, the five of us can't always be working.
I am feeling a little lost after class today. We had a an anatomy preview and the presenter wasn't very good. We had an hour and she was done in 35 minutes. The preview notes consisted of the front and back of one piece of paper typed. There are images that are too fuzzy to see with writing that is too little and blurred to read. I was completely unprepared for it. Good lesson to learn. Don't come to class without at least looking through the stuff. I didn't know what we were doing today, so it's not really my fault this time.
I'm guessing that I may make this my noontime habit. It's a good break from the studying and it is a good stress reliever. Although I feel like I'm wasting precious study time, I know that I can't study 15 hours a day. I realize that with me, the more time I spend on something without letting it set in, as in overnight, the more likely it is that I am going to start getting confused and forgetting things. I may as well just cram, because the exact same thing happens to me when I cram. Example: I was having trouble late last night remembering the muscles from yesterday. This morning, they were all easy to remember and right there. I think that I need to study before class and then use the next few days to review but not overkill studying the same material after the class. I just don't have that kind of time. If I know it pretty well going into the class, I'll be able to solidify material in class and review after the class.

Off to eat and then a little more class. This is the first ICE session, which is basically clinical skills in a controlled environment. I hope I am in a low group (1-6). These groups meet on Thursday afternoons. The high groups (7-12) meet on Friday afternoons.
More to come later...
