Labor day fun

I am studying. I did it yesterday. I will do it tomorrow too. I feel that I made some good progress so far. I have been through the last two weeks worth of notes at least once for each day. Today I am hopeful that I will get through them all again. There are really only seven days to get through. I am neglecting pharmocology at this point. I will look at it tomorrow as I am trying to get through readings too.

Second year is starting off much different than I expected. The small groups are nice for me. We get things in lecture and then we talk about them, usually in relation to cases, in the group of about 10.

We are still doint Problem Based Learning. I am in a group right now that is very down to the point. On Friday, we had two hours for PBL. Our faculty advisor is a doctor and he was off doing some sort of brain surgery or something. "running a little late" is what we were told, We got down to business really fast and got through all of the stuff in 30-40 minutes. I came home and slept for a while and then got to cleaning my house because Suzanne and her hubbie stayed with me on their way to Denver.

I need to get some food. I hate loking for food. Nothing looks good. I try really hard to find things that are healthy but there is such a small amount of that here that I usually end up with pasta and sauce and an occasional pizza.

Gas is expensive here, so I am doing as little driving as possible, especially since my car is getting terrible gas mileage here in the city. Stop and go traffic is costing me money.

On the fun side of things, I have potential plans to go to a movie tonight with some of my friends. I don't know what we are going to see. Heck, I don't even know what's out there.

Time to revisit Monday, August 22, 2005.
