Two days in California:

I arrived on Friday withoug my luggage. I learned very quickly that the San Francisco airport is CRAZY. My flight continued onto Korea, although on a different plane, and we pulled into an international gate on the international concorse. I then had to find my way to the domestic side. Once there, I took a little shuttle to the commuter terminal. The flight from SF to Monterey was 19 minutes at altitiude.

The kids here are crazy as well. They started practicing when they arrived and only quit because we told them they had to since it was 10:00. They started again at 8:00, which is the earliest they are allowed. The dorms here at RL Stevenson serve as home to some staff and their families. I bet they either love this time or fear it.

The school is quite the place. The facility is nice and the location isn't half bad either. It is right next to Spyglass - a 1 minute walk from one of the holes. It is located on 17 mile drive. I can only imagine what the houses here cost. Most of them have big windows with great ocean views.

I like my staff and the kids seem to be really friendly. It's really foggy this morning. Despite the fog, it's really pretty here. We went to the beach last night. There is a small sandy area, but it is surrounded by dark rocks. Everybody is required to take a buddy when they go. There are little animals playing in the water. I think they are sea lions. It was dusk when we went, so it was difficult to see things really well. I've been told that it is a place the kids like to go. The golf course too. Late at night. I warned my few students that they lock the doors at midnight, so they should be sure to be in before then.

There is a line for the computer, so I should end here.
