I just returned from a week in Knoxville at the Global DI finals where I watched elementary school teams try and do something that was a little above their heads. There were no big nasty bugs and the weather was very confused. I saw some good stuff and I saw some bad stuff, solution wise. I didn't get along with my judging team like I have in the past. It was a team of ten, and I had worked with two of them before. I didn't really feel like we gelled, which is unfortunate. On a happy note, I got a "Guatemalan do-rag" via a trade at the opening ceremonies (I was in a Colorado shirt, so it's allowed). Here are some pictures of me to prove that I was actually there and very stylish indeed. http://d2k4.dionline.org/time.htm Colorado did better this year than last, and I met somebody from Nebraska who I will be able to hook up with when I am there for DI purposes.
Thanks to all of you who commented on my last posting. It was a joy to come home to such a conversation. I laughed a lot!
My last day of work is in just over a month! Yipee!
