As it turns out, the assay that didn't work didn't work for a reason other than the reason it hadn't been working before. Day 3 (that was today) had no results just like yesterday. As it is a protein assay of sorts, it probably means that there was a problem with the proteins, i.e. they never made it to where I was looking or they got degraded in the process of getting there.

Oh, and for all you out-of-towners, it snowed her today. Estes Park reported 2 feet and was expecting up to 6 inches more.
