Bad last two weeks - a vent

I started my rotation on Baird 5, our impatient ward, on a Friday. Through Friday yesterday I worked for 190 hours and had been at the hospital every day. This is my golden weekend, which means I don't have to go back to work until Monday morning at 6AM. The hours I've worked isn't my vent, however. It's my senior resident. She looks down on everybody there - all the interns and the medical students. She is undermining everything I do, and yesterday she made no effort to get me out of the hospital when I was supposed to be gone, at noon. Instead, at 12:10 she was giving me new things to do. So I said something. I don't know if it was appropriate or not, but I did. I don't know if there's anything I can do about it, but at least I now realize how she does things and I am pretty sure it's just the way she is and not me. For the next two weeks, I have to just try and get thick skin and not let her get to me too much. Today, however, I'm exhausted and it is all getting to me.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. After my last call, I go to the airport and fly to Colorado to have a great wedding week. YAY!!!
