Psyc week one

My patients are crazy. Literally. I'm in the secured inpatient ward for a total of three weeks. The staff is fantastic and lots of fun. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I actually enjoy the patients. Most of the ones who have dilusions are very nice. There is one who really scares me. This one made me part of their paranoid delusion and is accusing me of doing things that I haven't done. The patient looks like they could explode into rage and agression at any time. Fun fun fun.

Psyc is very difficult for me. I have a hard time remembering what diagnosis goes with what symptoms. It's going to be an educationally difficult six weeks but I should have plenty of time to study.

Chamber music is starting to get going. We met last Tuesday and are meeting again tomorrow, this time ordering pizza too. It is a group of people who just like to play. We sounded like crap last week, but nobody cared. That's why it's so fun.

Today I'm doing things to kind of catch up after having company almost all last week. Laundry, and lots of it, it the top priority. And my carpet needs a good going over. A little suction will do it a lot of good.

  • Hey Michele!

Sounds like good times for you...

Hey, I wanted to let you know I found a post-doc back in Wisconsin. So that's where I'll be headed this summer...
