out of the abyss
Two weeks left and I wish it was two months. I am in Denver for the weekend. The connection through the hospital won't let me get to this site, so that's why I havent posted in forever.
I am SO busy but it is everything I wanted and then some. I delivered a baby yesterday - my hands were on the kid's head and I was pulling (C-section). It was a 3 person job, but I was one of those three.
I've met some really interesting patients. I'm finally getting more comfortable with history taking and physical exam skills. I've done paps, which are no big deal, and many other things. I was in the ER for many hours one night stitching up a leg that was attached to a teenager who had been thrown out of a car. I've assisted in an amputation. I've babysat sick kids in the nursery. I am so tired. But happy.
