On Residency

I learned a valuable lesson today: the side of the ear and the tympanic membrane look very different. When I was looking in ears of little kids the other day, I was looking at the side of the ear and I wasn't looking far enough back. oops. now i know, thanks to my classmate who let me look until I found the membrane. It's a lot further back than I thought.

Thanks for the inquires on my current health situation. I had a terrible night last night. I couldn't stop caughing when I laid down, so I ended up getting another pillow and proping myself a little bit. Problem solved and I got a slept until my alarm went off this morning. My headache and soar throat are gone but now I'm very congested. Maybe I have a viral cold and a bacterial something else.

We sawed the heads in half today. The brain was removed some time ago. We got to tear off the septum and see the nasal cavity with all its stuff. Ears are hard. There's a lot of little stuff in there. Why do I have to know it now? Wouldn't it be better to teach me that stuff if I decided to be an ENT?

Big exam next Saturday. Going to study as hard as I can for the next week. I don't have as much energy as I would like at this point, so I feel like I'm getting less done than I need to. I'm just going to do the best that I can.

I'm not going to check the spelling, so I hope I did okay.
