Lack of Sleep

I finally turned off my light last night at 2:00. I didn't start to fall asleep right then. I didn't look at the clock, either, so I'm not sure when I finally slept. I was awoken sometime shortly after 6:00 by a clunking sound out of my vents. I could hear that my heat had kicked on. My thermostat is set to 55. I wasn't sure at first what the sound was, so I jolted out of bed and checked for any signs of disaster - water everywhere, etc. All was fine throughout the house (at least everywhere I looked in my frozen half awake state) so I decided I was going to try and get a little more shut eye before the alarm went off at 6:40. It almost worked, but a belly ache proved too much for sleep so I was up walking around again. I managed to get back into bed one more time before 6:40, and then I reset my alarm for 7:00 to get just a few more minutes of much wanted sleep. I thought seriously about sleeping for a while and then coming into school mid-morning. I didn't. I finally got up for real at 7:18 and ran around really fast to get ready to leave the house by 7:30. I was out the door by 7:35. Four hours of lectures on stuff I've had hours of lectures on already provided me the chance for a cat nap here and there - shamefully. I've had lunch, including caffeine that to this moment hasn't done a darn thing for my awakedness. I have a meeting in a little while, and then I'll either get some exercise or go home and sleep. I'm voting for the sleep. I may get outvoted one to one (that's because I (Chris) drove your butt to school).
