Good day, bad day

Well, third year is over, for now. I still have to find out if I passed all parts of Internal Medicine. I'm a bit worried, actually. I am not feeling very good about my OSCE (objective standardized clinical exam). I had a migraine the two days before and was just off during the three hours of the exam. I wasn't asking questions I needed to ask and I was forgetting things that I knew. I actually debated before going to the exam whether I should even be there. I figured if I didn't go, I would be assured of having to take it in 3 months, and if I did, I could take the chance that maybe I won't have to take it again in 3 months. On the other hand, it has been a wonderful weekend. I've spent most of my time hanging out with Marcus. We celebrated on Friday night with a great lasagna dinner and a delicious bottle of wine. Yesterday was a lazy day for the both of us. It has been so nice to have a weekend when I have nothing to worry about as far as school and the hospital are concerned.

The bad news: as I was getting ready for my sister to visit today, getting the "study explosion" which is what becomes of my house as tests approach, I kicked my couch on accident and broke on of my toes. I can't believe how much it hurts. So I've been hobbling around trying to get things cleaned up. I have decided that the best I can do with my limited mobility is put things in piles and let the sister and crew put everything into a box so little Owen, aka O boy, can't get into too much trouble.

  • Sorry about your toe, but congratulations on everything else. I'm sure you did better than you think...

  • Congrats on finishing 3rd year! 4th year rocks! Don't worry about the OSCE, they're mostly for show. Same goes for toes.
