Starting Over
A clean slate is what I have.
I struggled with a lot of things during the last half of the previous core. The migranes were the worst part. I more in those five weeks than I have had in such a short period for a very long time, if ever. With my new preventative medicine and new rescue medicine, I have new hope that I will headaches fewer and less painful. I would be REALLY happy if they went away completely.
I worked out today for the first time in a while. (Not working out was probably one of the problems with the last five weeks too.) I no longer have pain in my thighs and I thin my SI is recovered as much as it will get. (By that I mean if the dislocation hasn't healed, my body has adapted to the change is now structurally adjusted). It felt so good to work out. I had to push myself really hard to get the 10 minute run done. I hate running and the first time back after a while is one of the hardest times for me.
I bought the book for this core. I think I am going to need it alot.
I turned in my application for the summer primary care block. If I get what I want, I will spend three weeks with a surgon somewhere in Nebraska. If I don't get what I want, I will spend three weeks with a rural medicine doctor somewhere in rural Nebraska. I requested someplace where I will stay on site, as opposed to a commuter site where I will have to return to Omaha every night.
Spring break was a great week. I remember friends I have who are ahead of me in medical school talking about how much they slept during their breaks. This is so true. I slept through many days and I took lots of naps. I didn't know that it was possible to sleep as much during the days as I was and still sleep through the night.
I am going to try and eat healthier. More fruit, less junk, and less high fat dairy (um, I LOVE cheese) and chocolate (this makes me really sad). I may even see if I can get used to yogurt too.
Time to study. I have a long list of things to do today.
