Adventure for the day.

I was doing some work in my living room, where I usually study now that it is cold, and I heard a noise. I looked over to the fireplace and saw that I had a visitor. I figured that it would find its way back out again, the same way it got in. After talking to my dad, I learned that it was impossible for this little one to do that and the only way out was through my house. "Make it as dark as possible and open your sliding glass door. Close the curtains around the door except around the part where it is open. Then open the firebox and he should go right out." Done, done, and done. Except for that last part. Firebox is open and I just got a blank stare. Birdbrain, I guess. I starting trying to move the wood stand out of the way so I could grab it in a towel, and out it went. At least I think it went out. I don't hear any noise and I don't see anything flying around my place. I am assuming it's out.

Look what came to visit!
