back to it

today we sawed off the ribs to get to the lungs. big organs are so nice! there weren't little nerves or muscles to look for or accidentally cut. one of the tables got a new cadaver because theirs was in bad condition (rotting). their new one is a 75 year old woman who had breast implants. it didn't look lie they were there for reconstructive reasons. they were a popular table for a little bit. my cadaver is good. she didn't smoke and her lungs aren't too big. they are easy to manage when you are studying off of them. it's kind of cool - you can squeeze it and hear the air going out and the see it as it reinflates and takes back its shape. tomorrow is the heart.
